Animals As Leaders Release Their Fourth Studio Album ‘The Madness of Many’
The progressive pioneers add another classic to their catalogue with their latest effort
Animals As Leaders have released their fourth studio album 'The Madness of Many,’ on November 11 via Sumerian Records. Following their last album ‘The Joy of Motion,’ the Washington D.C. natives have galvanised themselves as one of the driving forces behind the progressive metal genre.
Animals As Leaders guitarist Tosin Abasi described the writing process as “…A total synergy between the three of us. None of the music would have turned out the same way without the equal inclusion of all of our musical ideas. We’re beyond thrilled with the result.”
Additionally, drummer Matt Garstka has called the band’s latest album “The most natural sounding Animals As Leaders album yet.” Providing some insight into how organic ‘The Madness of Many’ was to create during the writing, recording and mixing periods. The ten track LP was mainly self-produced by the trio, and perhaps this shows in the greater scope of control that the band had this time around.
Animals As Leaders are currently on their ‘Madness of Many Tour’ in North America playing all of the tracks from the new album. The band will tour Australia in early 2017 where they will have stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally ending in Perth. Joining them on tour as supports are rising Australian guitarist Plini and Nick Johnston.
Tickets are still available for the Australian leg of The Madness of Many Tour here.
