Gibson Les Paul Custom 70s
The Les Paul Custom is back—and it’s ready to make history all over again
1970s Les Paul Customs are some of the fastest-appreciating vintage Gibson models and serve as physical representations of the transition from Kalamazoo to Nashville production fifty years ago. From Ace Frehley to Frank Zappa, a multitude of hugely influential guitar heroes have championed Les Paul Customs made in the 1970s.
The Gibson USA factory began making Les Paul Customs fifty years ago, but the model has been exclusively offered by Gibson Custom for the past two decades. Finally – it’s back where it began! The new Les Paul Custom 70s features classic 1970s specs, including headstock volutes, three-piece maple tops bound in 5-ply, witch hat knobs, diamond-shaped Posi-Lock strap buttons, and throwback 1970s finishes including the coveted and rare Buttercream Top with Ebony back and sides.
