VATER CHAD SEXTON 311 MODEL
With a refined technique and overall playing approach, Chad Sexton slightly tweaked the specs of his Custom Model to perfectly align with his newfound needs as a player. The update to his Custom model adds a little extra length and is finished in white paint which not only adds a cool visual look but has also been very helpful to Chad’s grip while performing long-duration 311 shows.
VATER MANHATTAN BRUSH
The Manhattan Brush features the same grip as Vater’s very popular Manhattan 7A model, and just like the Manhattan stick, Vater have given it some extra length. Compared to most typical brushes, the Manhattan Brush has an added ½” length for added reach. Combine the grip and length with a flexible gauge wire, and you have a very versatile brush that feels natural in your hands with the wood handle.
VATER MONSTER WHISK
A new addition to Vater's “Monster Brush” product offerings. With the Monster Whisk, Vater leave the thicker, straighter, stronger side of Sorghum Straw as the playing end so that it provides a soft, but still articulate sound with durability. Bundled at close to an inch in diameter for a “Monster” grip, the Monster Whisk is a great-sounding speciality stick that can be widely used on drum set as well as a variety of world percussion instruments like cajon, congas, etc. Includes adjustable O-rings to adjust the spread.
VATER MONSTER WHISK SOFT
A new addition to Vater's “Monster Brush” product offerings. With the Monster Whisk Soft, we use the softer, wavy side of Sorghum Straw as the playing end as it delivers a very quiet sound with a soft and subtle tone. The shape of the straw, when bundled in Vater's “Monster” diameter, naturally makes it fan out in a more traditional brush style leading to a wider surface area contact zone. A fun-to-use speciality stick that is more “felt” than heard with how it adds a soft colour to the overall musical vibe when playing on drum set or world percussion instruments like cajon, congas, etc. Includes adjustable O-rings to adjust the spread.
VATER SPLASHSTICK SOFT BAMBOO
Same physical design as Vater's original Splashstick, but constructed from Bamboo dowels. The Bamboo offers superb durability and some added weight for a solid feel, without excess volume. Bamboo is also the fastest growing plant on Earth, making this a very eco-friendly percussion product.
VATER SPLASHSTICK SOFT
An exciting addition to Vater's already wide-ranging Splashstick product line. Although Splashsticks are lower volume than regular drumsticks, sometimes they are still just a little too much. The Splashstick Soft fills that need with a thin foam core wrapped in 12 rods high-quality birch dowels. The foam core reduces the weight and volume, while the wood dowels still provide an articulate tone. The blue accent band allows you to quickly identify the Splashstick Soft from other Splashstick models in your stick bag. Includes adjustable O-rings to adjust the feel of the impact area.
